ABSOLUTE Yoga therapy is derived from the classical Yoga tradition of Patanjali. This therapeutic process recognizes and respects each individual’s unique physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual condition.

ABSOLUTE Yoga therapy adapts traditional yoga practices to make sense within the contact of your individual personal reality. My practices may include meditation, self and textual study, spiritual or psychological counseling, chanting, imagery, prayer, and ritual. Gentle hands-on techniques may be used to assist you in increasing awareness of chronic holding patterns and the conscious releasing of it.

My goal is to establish you in an experiential understanding of the process of yoga and then teach you how to modify your own condition.

What to expect in an ABSOLUTE Yoga Therapy session:

  1. You will be given an individual confidential consultation.

• You will be encouraged towards awareness, understanding and self-empowerment on all levels.

• You will also be encouraged to take an active role in your own healing.

• You will develop an understanding of the nature of stress and be provided with the techniques to resolve same.

  1. Pain Management - You will learn through breath and body awareness, the means to better manage your own pain.

  2. You may also be given a Holistic Yoga program, personally designed to suit your individual needs.

• After a number of one-to-one yoga therapy sessions, you may then be ready to join a general yoga class

I have some complex medical issues and physical limitations, and Mark has been wonderfully creative and wise in adapting yoga practices for my special needs. I’ve definitely felt an increase in overall well-being since beginning my yoga therapy with him.
